“We’re currently facing a global obesity epidemic, with 42 million children under the age of five either overweight or obese across the world. The bottom line is the next generation will live shorter lives than their parents if nothing is done to rectify these alarming stats.” says Jamie Oliver. Presented by the BBC , he became one of the most influential chefs UK and he started few months ago a campaign against the childhood obesity.
The movement seeks to raise awareness of the impact a good education on what to eat. So, this project tries to give children and adults the tools and knowledge to learn to make food in a healthy way. And so we can avoid developing weight-related diseases. All this will be possible if countries agree to take care of the little ones, who are our future.
Jamie Oliver has convinced many famous like Ed Sheeran, Paul McCartney or Hugh Jackman, and they wrote a song for 15th of May (the official Food Revolution Day) to publish this campaign. You can see it here!
