Health authorities have suggested quite some time now that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Now researches from Cardiff University have revealed that there is a link between kids eating breakfast and their academic performance. They found out that children who eat breakfast before school are twice as likely to get better marks in tests and assignments than those who don’t eat anything in the morning. The study was researching 5000 pupils at age of nine to 11-years-olds.
In this case not just any kind of breakfast helped kids to score highly in tests. Eating unhealthy stuff like sweets and crisps for breakfast won’t help kids to learn more and do better in school. And it is not just eating breakfast, researches found that eating regularly during the day also helped academic performance of kids and boosted their concentration levels. This time the healthy food wasn’t a key word but also eating sweets and crisps as well as fruit and vegetable was helpful.
Nowadays in the UK many schools offer a breakfast to their students and authorities have concluded that it is very important to teach kids to eat breakfast in order to make their educational performance even better.
